Welcome to Eabo. By using our platform to rent books, you agree to the following terms. These terms are designed to be fair, simple, and easy to understand.
Eabo provides book rental services in Vijayapura, Karnataka. Our goal is to make quality self-development books accessible to local readers at affordable prices.
1 Rental Rules
- The rental period begins only after the book has been successfully delivered or pickup has been completed — not from order placement or approval
- Books must be returned on or before the due date
- All rental requests are subject to book availability
- Eabo reserves the right to reject rental requests at its discretion
- Users under 18 should use the platform with parental guidance
2 Late Returns & Fees
⚠️ A late fee of ₹10 per day is charged for every day beyond the due date.
- Late fees are calculated from the morning of the day after the due date
- Late fees are deducted from the refundable deposit on return
- You may extend your rental before the due date to avoid late fees — see Section 4
3 Book Condition
- Books must be returned in the same condition as received
- Normal wear from reading is acceptable
- Damage such as torn pages, water damage, or writing will result in deductions from your deposit
- If a book is lost or severely damaged, the borrower is responsible for its replacement cost
- Replacement cost will be assessed at Eabo's discretion, typically ₹200–₹500
4 Rental Extensions
- Users may request one rental extension before the due date
- Each approved extension adds an additional 15 days to the rental period
- Extension requests are subject to approval by the Eabo team
- Extension fees are deducted from your refundable deposit
- Once an extension is approved, further extensions are not allowed for that rental
✓ Extensions can be requested directly from your dashboard — no need to contact support manually.
5 Order Cancellation
- You may cancel a rental request before the order has been marked as delivered or pickup completed by the Eabo team
- Once a rental has been activated or delivered, cancellation is no longer permitted
- If an order is cancelled before activation, reserved inventory is automatically released back into available stock
✓ You can cancel eligible orders directly from your dashboard under “Active Rentals”.
6 Deposit
- A refundable security deposit is collected with each rental
- The deposit amount varies per book (typically ₹100–₹200)
- Deposit is fully refunded on safe book return, subject to condition assessment
- Deductions may apply for late fees, extension fees, or damage (see Sections 2, 3 & 4)
7 Payments
- All payments are collected as Cash on Delivery (COD) at the time of book delivery or pickup
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹)
- Eabo does not collect or store any card or online payment credentials
- COD confirmation is completed by the Eabo delivery team at the time of handover
8 Your Privacy & Data
User information such as name, phone number, email, and delivery details are used only for rental operations, delivery coordination, and customer support. We do not sell, share, or misuse your personal information.

9 User Conduct
- You agree not to misuse the platform or submit fraudulent rental requests
- Providing false personal information may result in account suspension
- Eabo reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms
10 Changes to Terms
Eabo may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
